We’re providing our guests Friday and Saturday night on-site lodging at Walden Retreats, with everyone assigned their own luxury tent.

Once you arrive, you won’t need to drive anywhere or coordinate transportation. Everything for the weekend is in one place.

These are not camping tents. Think boutique hotel, just closer to nature.

Each tent includes:

• Heat & A/C

• Private ensuite bathroom

• Small kitchen

• Private balcony

• Outdoor shower

• Clawfoot bathtub

Each tent also has its own personal fire pit & grill, perfect for slow evenings and late-night conversations.

Check-in is 4 PM. Check-out is 11 AM. Parking is plentiful and easy on-site. Please note that smoking is not permitted on the property.

Johnson City, TX

Johnson City is small, charming, and best enjoyed at a slower pace. There’s plenty to explore if you feel like wandering.

That said, our biggest hope is that you lean into the weekend itself. Walden is made for fishing (bring your poles!), hiking, sitting by the fire, reading, napping, soaking in a bubble bath, and doing absolutely nothing if that’s more your speed.

On Saturday, we’ll have a coffee bar and pastries in the morning to help you ease into the day, plus a grab and go lunch in the afternoon. Of course, if you feel like venturing into town instead, that’s totally up to you.

No packed schedules. No pressure to do it all. Just enjoy where you are.
